Il Viaggio is a new perfume brand founded by a group of friends who set out to create refined, artisanal, internationally appealing fragrances. The client came to Digital Bunch through a referral with a simple goal. They wanted a website to present the fragrances online, with the option to scale into full e-commerce later. The challenge was that the brand had no identity, no strategy, no guidelines, and almost no visual assets. The only fixed element was the logo. In just three weeks, Digital Bunch turned Il Viaggio from a product without a narrative into a luxury brand experience through storytelling, sensory design, custom development, and a hybrid 3D and AI visual production pipeline.

We built an entire digital ecosystem from scratch. With no brand materials and no imagery, our team crafted a refined visual identity, developed a narrative framework for each fragrance, produced all product images internally using 3D and AI, and designed a minimal, elegant website that communicates the essence of the brand. The final result exceeded the client’s expectations. Immediately after the launch, he commissioned Digital Bunch to design and develop the full e-commerce platform.

Every emerging perfume house faces the same challenge. They must prove their fragrances belong among luxury brands, and stand out in a market full of established names.

Understanding what really mattered for Il Viaggio

High-street perfume brands dominate the market with strong visibility and loyal followings. Il Viaggio needed to level the field and present itself as a credible, modern luxury alternative capable of standing out against well-established names.

Challenge

A Brand Without a Brand. The client approached us with only a logo and the perfume bottles. No color system, no typography, no brand values, no direction. He also had no clear idea of how the brand should look or feel online and relied almost entirely on our creative guidance.

Solution

We built the brand identity as we designed the website. Our designers extracted inspiration directly from the physical products, and the shape of the bottles, their transparency, the light reflections, and the refined detailing. From this, we created a soft and elegant color palette, a minimal, readable, premium typographic system, a visual style built around the idea of the journey (the literal translation of Il Viaggio). By the end, the client had a brand identity he had never seen before; one he immediately recognized and approved.

Our Unique Approach: Focus on the story

We understood from the beginning that Il Viaggio did not simply need a website. The brand needed a digital identity capable of expressing elegance, craftsmanship, and the sensory depth that defines each fragrance. With only a logo and the bottles available, our team had to build everything from the ground up. We went deeper than visual design and focused on understanding the essence of the brand, the philosophy behind every scent, and the emotional experience the founders wanted to evoke.


Through close collaboration with the owner, who relied almost entirely on our creative direction due to his demanding schedule, we explored the inspiration behind each fragrance and the connection to specific places and memories. These insights guided every creative choice and ensured that the narrative, the imagery, and the user experience felt both luxurious and true to the heart of Il Viaggio.


By managing the entire process in-house, including brand exploration, UX and UI design, copywriting, three dimensional modeling, AI assisted visual production, and custom development, we created a complete and coherent ecosystem built from scratch. This fully integrated workflow allowed us to move quickly, maintain high quality, and deliver a digital presence that significantly elevated the perceived value of the brand. What began as a simple request for a website became the foundation of a sensory universe that will continue to expand as Il Viaggio grows into its upcoming e-commerce platform and future product lines.

Product Immersion and Sensory Understanding

Before designing anything, we immersed ourselves in the world of Il Viaggio. We studied the bottles, the notes, and the stories behind each fragrance to understand the emotional intent of the brand. This exploration gave us the foundation to express the perfumes through visuals and words. Each insight shaped how we communicated the spirit of the fragrances and ensured that the final experience captured the sensory richness of the product.

Visual Identity Exploration and Creative Direction

Since the brand had no established identity, we explored multiple creative directions based on the character of the perfumes and the client’s desire for a refined and minimal aesthetic. By testing colors, compositions, and lighting inspired by the fragrances themselves, we were able to shape a visual language that felt natural to Il Viaggio. This process guided the selection of palette, typography, and the overall mood that now defines the brand.

Experience Design and Interface Structure

We examined how users would interact with a perfume brand that is deeply tied to storytelling. This led us to design an experience focused on clarity, calmness, and emotional flow. The navigation is simple and the structure is linear, allowing each fragrance to be discovered through its story and composition. The sliding side panels create a moment of immersion, where users can engage with the perfumes in a refined and intimate way.

Creative Production and Rapid Prototyping

To present the fragrances without an existing library of images, we created a hybrid workflow that combined three dimensional modeling, AI assisted image generation, and detailed post production. This allowed us to explore many ideas quickly and refine only the strongest concepts. Through constant iteration, we produced a full collection of premium visuals that matched the tone of the brand and supported the final user experience.

Project Outcome

Before working with us, Il Viaggio had no brand presence, no narrative, and no visual assets. A good but invisible product. Now the brand feels luxurious, intentional, and international. The perceived value of the fragrances increased, the client understood the importance of clear presentation, and the site now forms a solid base for future growth. The impact was immediate, and the client chose to move forward with the e-commerce phase. In three weeks, Il Viaggio moved from undefined to undeniably premium.

Looking Forward: The Future of Il Viaggio

The next phase of the project is already underway: the development of a complete online store and the refinement of the physical and printed identity of the brand including new packaging, a brand uplift and a seamless online experience.
