Executive Summary

Architect Thomas Stemper, CREA, sought our help for a new headquarters design for Abdul Latif Jameel in Jeddah. We provided quick, high-quality visuals to confirm the evolving architectural direction, focusing on roof geometry that blended Arabic and modern German styles. Despite a tight timeline and an incomplete model, we delivered three photorealistic visuals that guided decisions on massing, patterns, lighting, and space. The final images were quickly approved for stakeholder communication.

Digital Bunch Solution

We created a visualization package for CREA to communicate architectural intent clearly. Through coordination, we refined building elements, proposed camera options, tested shadow patterns, and ensured visuals reflected Jeddah's cultural context and architectural precision. Our workflow combined rapid iteration, real-time feedback via Frame.io, and alignment with Thomas, integrating changes smoothly.

CREA needed visualizations that could help the client finalize important design decisions.

Ambitious developments often hit the same roadblock when complex plans need to become visuals that communicate instantly and give investors something they can feel and trust.

Understanding what really mattered for CREA

Every project faces the challenge of turning incomplete designs into visuals that feel finished and aligned with client expectations. For this headquarters, the goal was to express Abdul Latif Jameel's identity: refinement, clarity, modernity, and respect for regional aesthetics.

Challenge

The 3D model was incomplete and needed cleanup. The roof pattern, a key element, wasn't designed, and several areas required refinement. We had to move fast for a quick project presentation, defining camera angles, preparing geometry for rendering, and developing a roof pattern blending Arabic and modern German architecture. We also worked on the context and landscape, producing three visuals in one week while managing continuous feedback.

Solution

We established a rapid workflow focused on clarity and speed. Daily communication via WhatsApp and quick calls ensured we moved in the right direction. We created camera options, tested variations, rebuilt geometry, and developed a lighting strategy that highlighted key aesthetic elements. This allowed fast, informed decisions before full production, resulting in a cohesive set of visuals delivered on time.

Our Unique Approach: Think Like a Designer

CREA needed a partner capable of interpreting an unfinished design, proposing architectural refinements, and translating a work-in-progress model into images that felt complete and intentional.

Through continuous coordination with Thomas, we clarified architectural intent, aligned on materiality, refined massing and shadows, and contributed to shaping the atmosphere of each view.
The roof pattern development became a core part of our support, ensuring it produced an elegant, culturally resonant light play.

By staying close to the decision-making process and adapting instantly to new inputs, our team became an extension of the architectural workflow rather than an external vendor.

The real challenge in visualization is maintaining that quality while the entire project evolves around you. Success comes from staying so deeply connected to the client's vision that you can anticipate needs before they're articulated, adapt to changes without losing momentum, and deliver results that exceed expectations despite compressed timelines. That's when you've moved beyond vendor to true strategic partner."

Success Factors

Our aim was to create visualizations that supported clear decision-making while staying adaptable as the design continued to evolve.

Camera Planning and Visual Direction

We explored multiple camera options for the bird-eye, street-level, and courtyard views, refining each angle through fast iteration rounds to ensure it conveyed the right narrative. The aerial view focused on context and massing, the street view emphasized the main entrance and architectural rhythm, and the courtyard view highlighted the roof pattern and the human experience within the space.

Implementing design changes on the go

We worked in parallel with CREA’s design team, adjusting geometry, refining façades, proposing pattern variations, and ensuring the lighting served the architectural intent. Daily touch points accelerated decision-making and avoided rework.

Cultural & Contextual Sensitivity

The new headquarters sits in Jeddah, and the design needed to reflect the region’s architectural identity without relying on clichés.
We calibrated vegetation, context, façade depth, and shadow play to create visuals that felt rooted in the local environment while respecting the precision of German architectural detailing.

Compressed Timeline Management

The entire package; model refinement, design collaboration, and three final renderings were delivered within one week.
We managed parallel workflows, prioritized key decisions, and provided previews quickly to maintain momentum.

Project Outcome

The final images helped CREA show a clear direction to Abdul Latif Jameel. Design support and visualization allowed the team to refine the concept under pressure while maintaining quality. This work reinforced the value of fast communication and gave Thomas the tools to move forward.

Looking Forward: Partnership Beyond the Project

The success of this collaboration opened the door to future work between Digital Bunch and CREA.
The trust built during this project—delivering under pressure, shaping design decisions, and maintaining clarity throughout, strengthened our partnership and established a solid foundation for continued collaboration on upcoming developments.
